I know so! It happens every year at this time....we WONDER how long we can wait for that warm sun and blue sky.....WELL - it is just around the corner. AND you want to be ready for it - we have garden items at Buffalo Nickel! Many booths are sprouting spring colors in yellows and greens! Easter decor is here and there too - fun rabbits and eggs.....PLUS we have crisp whites in our CLOTHES STOCK BOUTIQUE.....paper whites frame our excellent line of fabulous jeans/jackets and spring clothes.....COME AND SHOP!

Hi-it's me again!

You know, in today's retail world thinking "outside the box" is a necessity if you want to stay competitive and be successful. The Buffalo Nickel Antique Mall is no different. We are constantly coming up with new ideas to enhance your visit with us.

A couple of years ago, we added a clothing boutique thinking about those antiquers who shop with friends who aren't really into the old stuff. (By the way, we have had so many positive comments about Clothes Stock Company, we can't thank you enough.) It is very encouraging to us that we chose an amenity that pleased you so. Right now, winter clothes are discounted and we will have all new seasonal attire by March 1st.

But, the addition of our CSC boutique doesn't mean we'll stop evolving either. We like to change, keep things fresh and share ideas. AND...speaking of sharing, we invite you to feel free to tell us what would flip "your" cookie at the BN. If you have your own wish list, whether its specific antiques, furniture or collectibles you'd like to see more of or maybe an enhancement in the CSC, or even another feature or service we could offer, just let us know. You never know what could develop from shared ideas.(But just between you and me, if you suggest that you'd like to see those ceramic canisters with the blue and yellow goose theme on them, I doubt that we'd be able to help you out on that one, sorry !)

While I am writing this my boss asked me if I remember Kickerino's. I had no idea what she was talking about, so she tried to describe them. I was still stumped. Then Pat C., a dealer here, came in and we quizzed her. Not only did she know what they were, she admitted she still owns a red pair. Have any of you ever experienced ownership of these mysterious Kickerino"s?

Hi All!

Seems like most everybody is "jonesing" for Spring, including the Buffalo Nickel dealers. The spring decor is starting to trickle in. Some display areas are newly redone in spring-inspiring hues, including some that seem to encompass all the blues in the color wheel, helping to remind us that the visually drab days of late winter will soon give way to the influx of colors of Spring.

And the hunt for things in the barn for redecorating is such a blast! With items constantly coming and going, we never know what treasures we'll find to play with.

Furniture, furniture . . . . who's got the furniture?

We do! The Buffalo Nickel has a new area upstairs, highlighting newly found furniture. The dealers have been pulling out all the proverbial stops in rounding up new furniture choices for our customers. Way to go, people!

On the lighter side, we were the lucky recipients of 3 new dustpans, compliments of Linda H., to help us maintain our higher standards of cleaning around here. Thanks, Linda!!

Speaking of lucky, I am proud to say that I am now an official "picker" for the Clothes Stock Company, receiving my own little nook. You'll be able to tell which are my selections by the "Groovy Gal" tag. All 6 of us who now supply the Clothes Stock Company have newly selected apparel arriving all the time. We get just giddy with excitement when finding just the right fun styles to share with you! With 6 "fashion-seekers" always on the hunt, we can offer a variety of choices, including "fun", "hip & cool", "everyday comfort-wear", "night-out-on-the-town", and even "dress-up" for those special occasions. And we carry girls, misses and women's sizes to boot! Once you've chosen your "new" outfit, you can also accessorize from an assortment of jewelry, purses, scarves and shoes that are also offered in the Clothes Stock Company.

When you visit the Buffalo Nickel, I encourage you to feel free to just walk around at a leisurely pace and enjoy your visit. A great man once said "there is more to life than increasing it's speed". We should all be so wise.

2011 is here and I am feeling good about the Buffalo Nickel! I have pledged to work hard at keeping this blog - the website and our Facebook page up to date in the new year!

We all have the same amount of time and it is up to each of us to USE the time wisely and for good purposes! After the busy Fall, I tend to slow way down until mid-January - so now LET'S GO!
